Filling a Crucial Need
Many industry associations, groups, manufacturers, and distributors offer tons of useful information and resources highlighting processes and products. Many also provide training and management strategies to drive greater efficiency, productivity, engagement, and an improved culture but, despite all the available information, many facility management (FM) executives lack the necessary assessments and data to verify that their cleaning operations consistently deliver clean, safe, and healthy facilities at the lowest overall cost.
With recent heightened awareness around the importance of cleaning for health - and the looming threat of another pandemic - it is no longer enough for FM executives to simply assume their departments are doing a good job, or blindly trust that their facilities are being properly cleaned and disinfected. FM executives now must be able to prove that their operations are best-in-class.
Having worked with large, in-house custodial departments, I understand what FM executives face at these institutions and have successfully resolved these challenges and frustrations again and again. During my 30 years in the professional cleaning industry, I have worked with cleaning chemical manufacturers, janitorial distributors, and small to medium-size building service contractors (BSCs). I have also worked with in-house, unionized custodial staffs of K-12 schools, universities, colleges, and other large complex venues. I have trained custodians and managers on how to vastly improve their operations and outcomes. I have witnessed in-house cleaning operations that struggled to improve, only to have their responsibilities outsourced and their departments dismantled.
By leveraging my vast cleaning industry experience and my success building and leading teams, I assist FM Executives and Custodial Services leaders in conducting site-specific, integrated and comprehensive assessments of their current practices and policies, and verification of those results with reliable data. Based on those assessments, we build a prioritized improvement plan to deliver significant, sustainable, long-term results for their cleaning operation, to ensure they remain at the top of their game and are recognized as such.
If you are a FM executive having difficulty verifying your team’s success, I invite you to book a 10-minute call with me and see if you might be a good fit for what we do.
